A Dialogue with the Landscape of Dreams
We meet in a landscape where we are guided by a poetic, dancing shadow figure – a representative of the overlooked, the hidden, the excluded, yet still part of the place. Through daydreaming exercises, we open our senses and connect with the landscape. Daydreams exist between the rational and the irrational, between reality and fiction. They build a bridge between our inner world and what we experience around us. Daydream Dialogues explores different forms of daydreaming: actively imagining, letting thoughts drift, immersing oneself in another existence – a being, a community, a landscape.
“Daydreams lead the dreamer out of the immediate world into a world that bears the mark of eternity.”
– Gaston Bachelard, French philosopher and theorist of science
This poetic practice is driven by love and care for the overlooked and the outcast. We sense the landscape, create poetic, visual, and physical encounters with it, and arrive at a state between day and dream. A collective poetic exploration of the visible and invisible layers of a place opens a multifaceted, sensory understanding of the nature of the landscape.
