Fabric of The Landscape
INDHYLLET (ENVELOPED) is a performance, an intimate encounter with an urban landscape, and an exploration of what happens when the distance between us and our surroundings dissolves. We are in the middle of an ambiguous landscape: industry, meadow, harbor. On the edge of something. A non-place. Between concrete and swaying grass. From here, a pile of textiles is visible. Is it moving? Imperceptibly, perhaps. At first. The distance collapses. We lose our sense of overview. It’s as if the figure is growing out of the place. As an extension of the landscape we’re in.

In the meeting between human and landscape – what emerges when we fall silent, listen deeply, and allow the landscape to speak? What happens when we empty ourselves of preconceived ideas and let the landscape think itself within us?

The work invites us to experience urban landscapes in a different and more intimate way through the movement of performer Ida-Elisabeth Larsen and live sound composed by Santi Rzr. The landscape is not merely a backdrop or a stage. It reaches toward us, interacts with us. It seems the landscape wants something from us. What? And how do we respond?

ABOUT INSTITUTE OF INTERCONNECTED REALITIES
Institute of Interconnected Realities (I-IR) is an arts project led by choreographers and artistic directors Ida-Elisabeth Larsen and Marie-Louise Stentebjerg. In collaboration with a larger group of associated artists, they have created choreographic works for theaters, galleries, and site-specific contexts in Denmark and internationally.

I-IR is a member of Pavillon K, and this is their second project in a long-term artistic investment in Vordingborg Municipality initiated with Forest Stages on Møn (2024). INDHYLLET is part of an ongoing I-IR research project on place and place-thinking. These themes are approached from both an ecological and a bodily perspective, exploring how their meanings can expand our understanding of choreography and its traditions. https://iir.dk
