And you would like to take part in a workshop where we collectively create a &#8220;mass on the move&#8221;. No previous experience in dance or performance is required.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>A MASS ON THE MOVE<\/strong>\u00a0is a community in the city. An organism of bodies and movement that appears, settles for a while, and then disappears again. It leaves behind no single message, but an experience that continues to resonate with those who encounter it.<\/p>\n<p>The work invites another way of being together \u2013 one rooted in presence and connection. It is a manifestation of the possibility of being vulnerable, generous, and attentive together in the city.<\/p>\n<p>The performance is created together with local participants in public space. As a collective, participants inhabit Copenhagen&#8217;s streets and squares through a shared choreography of silence, slowness, movement, and presence. It leaves behind neither monument nor singular message, but an experience that continues to resonate &#8211; in participants, in passersby, and in the memory of the place itself.<\/p>\n<p>By bringing together slow growth, vulnerability, shared movement, and storytelling in public space, the work invites a different way of being together &#8211; based on presence rather than productivity, and connection rather than spectacle. What remains is the experience of being together differently: a manifestation of humanity in its vulnerable, generous, and attentive forms, and the sense that another way of inhabiting the city and relating to one another is possible.<\/p>\n<h5><strong><br \/>\n<\/strong><strong>ABOUT THE ARTISTS<\/strong><\/h5>\n<p><strong>JOHANNES BELLINKX<\/strong>\u00a0originally studied social\u00a0geography before training\u00a0at the Amsterdam\u00a0School of the\u00a0Arts, renowned for\u00a0its visual and\u00a0scenographic approach to\u00a0performance. His\u00a0interdisciplinary, research-based practice often\u00a0begins with a\u00a0radical concept related\u00a0to\u00a0the ways we\u00a0perceive and experience\u00a0the world. Bellinkx\u00a0creates works that\u00a0challenge\u00a0audiences by expanding\u00a0their sensory awareness\u00a0and inviting them\u00a0to construct their\u00a0own narratives. At Metropolis, audiences\u00a0have previously experienced\u00a0Bellinkx&#8217;s binocular installation\u00a0<em>FRAMING<\/em>\u00a0(2017), the backwards\u00a0walk\u00a0<em>REVERSE<\/em>\u00a0(2019), the sensory\u00a0installation\u00a0<em>INSIDE OUT<\/em>\u00a0(2025), and the\u00a0sound\u00a0walk\u00a0<em>LIVING MATTERS<\/em>\u00a0on Refshale\u00f8en this year.<br \/>\n<a href=\"http:\/\/www.johannesbellinkx.com\">www.johannesbellinkx.com<\/a><\/p>\n<p data-assistant-stream-block=\"\" data-assistant-stream-block-index=\"5\"><strong>BENJAMIN VANDEWALLE<\/strong>\u00a0is a Belgian\u00a0choreographer and dancer\u00a0who graduated from\u00a0the internationally\u00a0acclaimed dance school\u00a0P.A.R.T.S. In\u00a02012, he left\u00a0the theatre to\u00a0make the city\u00a0itself\u00a0his artistic laboratory. Rather than choreographing\u00a0dancers, he choreographs\u00a0the city, its\u00a0inhabitants, and everyday\u00a0urban\u00a0life. His works\u00a0blur the boundaries\u00a0between spectator and\u00a0performer, and between\u00a0reality and fiction, inviting\u00a0audiences\u00a0to question how\u00a0they perceive the\u00a0world around them.<\/p>\n<p><strong>METROPOLIS<\/strong>\u00a0has shaped Copenhagen&#8217;s\u00a0public spaces for\u00a0many years through\u00a0an ambitious and\u00a0diverse programme of\u00a0contemporary performing\u00a0arts.
