A performance workshop about bacteria \u2013 from the beginning of life to the body you live in<\/strong><\/p>\n

 
\nSCOBY & Son is an encounter between art and a living bacterial culture. A shared space where two worlds intertwine deeply in each other\u2019s everyday life and spirit.
\n 
\nSCOBY (Symbiotic Culture Of Bacteria and Yeast) is the culture used to brew kombucha. A living organism that responds to its surroundings \u2013 including you.
\n 
\nFor artist Thomas Seest, the SCOBY has become a close companion. Together they form a symbiosis, influencing and nourishing one another
\n 
\nIn the workshop, you are invited into this symbiosis. Together, we create a new, shared culture \u2013 quite literally \u2013 and the boundary between us and the living world around us begins to dissolve.
\n 
\nSCOBY & Son moves between the personal and the universal, telling a story about life and death, grief and life crises \u2013 but also about hope, community, and new ways of being together in a world where all life is interconnected.
\n 
\nAlong the way, nature philosopher Morten Gr\u00f8nborg opens up a scientific perspective, guiding us on a journey through 4 billion years \u2013 from the origin of life to the bacteria that still live in and around us today.

Thomas Seest is a visual artist whose work explores ecology and regenerative ideas.<\/p>\n

He has been involved in numerous landscape and rewilding projects and is currently engaged in a large-scale art and community project in K\u00f8ge Nord.<\/p>\n
