WHAT <\/strong>Performative Workshop<\/span><\/p>\n

A Quiet Revolution<\/strong><\/span>
This Is a Place Of Rest is an artistic\/activist workshop-performance that guides us through attempts to rest with a site\u2019s or landscape\u2019s past(s), present(s), and potential futures. We explore how we can sink into a place \u2013 its material layers and histories \u2013 and how rest can become a way to connect physically and mentally with these.<\/span><\/p>\n

At Refshale\u00f8en, we find ourselves in an old industrial area that has become a popular cultural gathering point and is now being developed as part of Copenhagen\u2019s ongoing urban expansion. We rest on\/with places shaped by the logics of production, consumption, and growth \u2013 and with our resting bodies, we open up to other ways of being on and with these sites. We hope to create a quiet revolution that unites people and places in restful resistance against the logics that exhaust them both.<\/span><\/p>\n

ABOUT NANA-FRANCISCA SCHOTTL\u00c4NDER
\n<\/strong><\/span>Nana Francisca Schottl\u00e4nder works across aesthetics within dance, performance, and installation. Central to her practice is the use of the body as a living instrument for exploration and creation\u2014both in her own work and in participant-based formats. Her work revolves around intimacy and the co-creative potentials in encounters with more-than-human beings such as stones, soil, water, and larger geographical areas with their inherent phenomena and dynamics. nanafrancisca.com<\/a><\/span><\/p>\n
