\n<\/span>WHAT <\/strong><\/span>Performative walk<\/span><\/p>\n

Healing Through Connected Umbilical Cords<\/strong><\/span>
\n<\/span><\/p>\n

A walk through the landscape \u2013 a healing experience. We connect to the land with umbilical cords, which we create together with Sonja Strange. These cords are made from fabric scraps, yarn, and whatever else one wishes to add from the landscape we find ourselves in and are connecting with.<\/span><\/p>\n

This is a sanctuary for processing the grief we carry. In this quiet state, there is no need to produce, think, analyze, or be efficient. You are invited simply to be, to see, and to listen. <\/span>Together, we become one large organ, where experiences flow through the now-interconnected umbilical cords \u2013 where words are allowed to leave people\u2019s mouths, drift into the air, and rise to the sky. As a collective body, we receive and release.<\/span><\/p>\n

ABOUT SONJA STRANGE
\n<\/strong><\/span>SONJA STRANGE is a visual artist who works site-specifically, exploring the historical, biological, geological, and mythological layers of a given location\u2014a form of inquiry into our shared, multifaceted world. She then creates a new performative narrative, which develops into video works, objects, costumes, paintings, text, and sound.<\/span>
