KUMULUS gave us a flock of dusty clown figures in piles of rubbish. 100 Copenhageners were portrayed in a moving citizen survey by RIMINI PROTOKOLL. GLiMT presented street kids underneath a bridge. A 100 m2 plastic bubble created by PLASTIQUE FANTASTIQUE induced life into all corners of the city.\r\n\r\nWith KARL VAN WELDEN\u2019s eye for the poetry in details, we witnessed excerpts of daily life through binoculars. An industrial wasteland was staged with 1500 tiles manipulated by LE G. BISTAKI\u2019s virtuous artists. CREW, JUDITH HOFLAND and INVISIBLE PLAYGROUND made the city\u2019s rhythms, spots and potentials visible through virtual, interactive walks and games. And finally NON NOVA put our lives in perspective with dancing plastic ballerinas carried by the wind.\r\n\r\nAn audience of 30,000\r\nThe weather behaved, the critics were overwhelmingly positive, but most important of all, the Copenhageners were with us. Metropolis 2013 struck a chord with more than 30,000 people, who all had a dose of urban art, sowing the seeds to their experiencing the city from a new perspective and sense the many potentials Copenhagen has to offer \u2013 human, architectonic and empirical.\r\n\r\n66 international artists brought their 12 projects to 23 selected places in Copenhagen. 114 Copenhageners participated on stage (or in the field), and more than 200 volunteers made it all possible.\r\n\r\nIn the words of Politiken:\r\n\"Just like the Metropolis dominoes almost toppled Copenhagen with a terrific chain reaction, festivals can provide tsunamis of new inspiration...
